SoulKind Issue 3

£15.00

Issue Three of SoulKind captures stories of determination, creativity, and purpose from individuals who show that living fully is less about achievement, and more about connection and meaning. After the stillness of the pandemic, we set out once again — travelling from the Scottish Highlands to Stockholm, from London to the south coast — to meet these individuals whose lives embody resilience.

In the wilds of Scotland, we met Stephen McAll, a musician also known as Constant Follower, whose music and story reveal the quiet power of healing through nature and creative expression. On the island of Gotland, we spent time with Stefan Ytterborn, founder and CEO of Cake Motorcycles, exploring how innovation and sustainability can ride hand in hand with adventure.

We lunched on a house boat with David Gordon, founder of BAM Clothing, whose commitment to responsible business proves that performance and purpose can coexist. David Haze, endurance paddleboarder and multiple world-record holder, shared how sport became a path to redemption and mental strength after incarceration.

Lawrence Okolie, world champion boxer reflects on discipline, self-belief, and the pursuit of greatness — while Purusha Gordon, ocean rower and mother of two, reminds us that courage often begins with saying “yes” before you feel ready.

Rhiane Fatinikun, founder of Black Girls Hike, is creating space for inclusion and representation in the outdoors, changing the face of adventure one walk at a time. And Sophie Morgan, broadcaster and advocate, shows how creativity and determination can transform challenge into opportunity.

Together, these stories form a portrait of human endeavour — a reminder that resilience isn’t just about endurance, but also the courage to grow, to question, and to begin again.
